Field First Aid

Field First Aid begins where conventional first aid ends.

An accident happens. Someone is injured.

What do you do?

In Germany, the next step is usually clear: provide first aid, call 112 and wait for professional help.

But what happens if no one comes?

You are far from the nearest medical facility. No ambulance service is available. Mobile network coverage is limited. Supplies are scarce. A vehicle may be available – or it may not.

What do you do now?

This is exactly where Field First Aid comes in.

Field First Aid prepares people to remain able to act even without a reliable emergency response infrastructure. Overseas assignments, international projects and work in remote regions often involve conditions very different from those at home.

Warum Field First Aid?

The aim is not to turn participants into healthcare professionals.

The aim is to assess situations correctly, recognise priorities and work with the resources that are actually available.

Field First Aid – Wenn Hilfe nicht sofort kommt

Taking the right action with limited resources

What really matters right now?

What can wait?

How long might we need to take responsibility ourselves?

How do we arrange further help?

What do we do if planned transport suddenly becomes unavailable?

And how do we make a sound decision under time pressure?

That is why Field First Aid does not rely on perfect conditions.

We train for real situations.

Field First Aid – Notfallsituation: Mit wenig richtig handeln

For situations where not every resource is available. Where improvisation is necessary. Where circumstances change. And where a team must decide together how to proceed.

Recognise. Decide. Act.

Our training is strongly practice- and scenario-based.

Participants learn to assess a situation quickly, identify risks, set priorities and provide appropriate care and stabilisation for injured people using simple means.

This is not just about medical measures.

It also covers transport, communication, personal safety, teamwork and arranging further help.

The process follows a simple principle:

Field First Aid Prozess: Sehen, Entscheiden, Handeln, Auswerten

This builds not only knowledge, but also confidence in taking action.

For companies, organisations and project teams

Field First Aid is aimed at companies, organisations, associations and teams that want to prepare people for overseas assignments or work in regions with limited medical infrastructure.

Training can be tailored to the organisation, the area of deployment and the actual conditions.

Possible formats include:

  • In-house training for companies
  • Preparing project teams for overseas assignments
  • Training for associations and organisations
  • Open training courses
  • Practical refresher and scenario-based training

The initial focus is on training opportunities in Germany.

Learning – including online

In the longer term, Field First Aid is intended to be complemented by digital learning formats.

Short videos and interactive scenarios can simulate real decision-making situations:

An accident happens.
The scene pauses.
You have to decide.

What do you do first?

This is followed by a review: What was right? What should have taken priority? What would the consequences of a different decision have been?

This allows Field First Aid to be used between in-person training sessions, in preparation for an assignment or for regular refresher learning.

Our goal

Field First Aid should not only show people what to do.

It should prepare them to take the right action even when conditions become difficult.

Taking the right action with limited resources.
Making decisions when it matters.
