Helping Hands Academy is expanding its educational work in The Gambia with an important new component.
Under the agreement concluded with the UNILAB Group on 1 April 2026, Helping Hands Academy in The Gambia is recognised as a reference centre and examination site for Italian language certificates within the CECOL system.
The certifications are connected with the Università per Stranieri “Dante Alighieri” di Reggio Calabria and are aligned with the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.
The agreement covers language examinations at levels A1, A2, B1, B1 Cittadinanza, B2, C1 and C2.
Connecting Language Qualifications and Certification Locally
This creates an opportunity for learners in The Gambia to connect language teaching more closely with internationally oriented certification structures available locally.
For Helping Hands Academy, the cooperation represents an important step in developing its own educational and examination infrastructure.
Our location on Kairaba Avenue already provides classrooms and computer workstations and is intended to develop over the long term into a reliable platform for language qualifications and certification.
International educational cooperation plays an important role in this approach. Our goal is not only to provide qualifications, but also to create opportunities for learners to demonstrate their knowledge in a recognised and usable way.
The new agreement provides another foundation for this work and allows us to continue expanding our educational activities in The Gambia step by step.
