Honorary Member

More than a title

For us, honorary membership of Helping Hands Academy e.V. is neither a free version of regular membership nor a reward for a single achievement.

It is an expression of trust, connection and appreciation.

That is why honorary membership is not obtained by application or through a fixed points system. Helping Hands Academy e.V. awards honorary membership when a special connection with our work has developed over time.

This can grow through volunteering, professional support, helping to sustain a project, contacts, ideas, exceptional assistance or simply through reliably supporting our work over many years.

Honorary membership is not something given in return. It recognises a connection that has grown over time.

Living the values of Helping Hands Academy

For us, belonging means more than having a name on a membership list.

People bring an organisation to life.

They talk about our work, contribute ideas, make connections, open doors or recognise opportunities we may not yet have seen ourselves.

This is precisely the attitude we associate with honorary membership.

No one has to be available all the time or work on every project. But anyone who feels connected to Helping Hands Academy e.V. can help inspire others to support our work – through conversations, recommendations, personal contacts or by raising awareness of our projects in their own community.

Sometimes something great begins with a single conversation. This idea also shapes our personal understanding of what it means to support Helping Hands Academy.

Every contribution counts

Not everyone can give the same things.

Not everyone has a lot of time.
Not everyone can provide financial support.
Not everyone has an extensive network.

But almost everyone can contribute something.

Perhaps someone knows just the right person. Someone else offers specialist knowledge. One person translates a text, transports materials or makes contact with a business. Another contributes an idea that later develops into a new project.

Financial support can, of course, help too. But honorary membership does not depend on a particular donation amount or a set number of hours contributed.

Time, knowledge, contacts, ideas, reach and practical help can be just as valuable.

Reaching more people together

Every person who learns about our work can bring new opportunities.

For us, a new member therefore means more than an additional membership contribution. They may bring new experiences, skills, contacts or perspectives to the community.

We welcome honorary members telling others about Helping Hands Academy e.V. and sharing our message.

Not as a membership recruitment exercise.

But because people who share our vision can strengthen our community.

Sharing responsibility

Anyone who says they are part of Helping Hands Academy e.V. also represents our name to some extent.

That is why we value openness, respect and responsibility in our dealings with one another and with the people we work for and alongside.

We do not make promises we cannot keep. We keep internal information confidential. We handle images, personal stories and data with care. And we always portray people with dignity and respect.

Honorary members are, of course, welcome to talk about our work, present projects, make connections and contribute their ideas.

However, honorary membership does not automatically authorise anyone to make binding commitments, enter into contracts or take official decisions on behalf of Helping Hands Academy e.V.

Belonging means trust – and trust also means responsibility.

What honorary members can expect from us

Community is not a one-way relationship.

Helping Hands Academy e.V. also wants to be there for its honorary members.

Honorary members should be able to contribute ideas, ask questions and have people within the organisation they can turn to.

We want to share developments and projects transparently, connect people and make existing experience, contacts or structures accessible where this makes sense.

Those who get involved should not automatically be left to manage on their own.

Not every idea will work, and Helping Hands Academy e.V. cannot fund or take on every initiative. But we want to be an organisation where good ideas are taken seriously and people can explore together what might come of them.

Many paths can lead to a special connection

Some people get to know us as volunteers.

Others get involved as a Brand Ambassador or Community Ambassador.

Others support a project, make connections over the years, provide professional expertise or help Helping Hands Academy e.V. in an entirely different way.

Over time, this kind of commitment can develop into a special connection.

Honorary membership is one way of visibly recognising that connection.

But it is neither a predetermined career path nor an automatic outcome of a particular activity.

There is no fixed path to honorary membership – but there are many ways to be part of our community.

What honorary membership means to us

For us, being an honorary member of Helping Hands Academy e.V. does not mean holding a special title or standing above other members.

It means being part of a community united by a shared idea.

No one has to be able to do everything.
No one has to do everything.
No one has to be available all the time.

But when many people contribute a little of what they can, a great deal can grow from it.

For us, honorary membership is not a reward for a single achievement. It recognises a connection that has grown over time.

Together for a better future.
